Hectare Meter Hectare Meter
The ELECTROLEE HECTARE METER offers a convenient way of "measure while you work"-method of registering a cultivated area. It is ideal for use during harvesting where the area is calculated while the harvesting process is in progress. It can be used on nearly any implement or tractor to register a cultivated area. When an implement is to be equipped with the ability to record the area that is being worked, the ELECTROLEE Hectare meter is a simple solution to the problem. This Hectare Meter can easily be implemented on a combine, a planter, or just about any implement. It functions with the help of two easily mountable sensors. One of the sensors is used to determine distance traveled. It is connected to an axle or a wheel to register its rotation. The other sensor is used to disable counting when the combine's table is lifted. This enhances accuracy because the area traveled during turning is not counted. It is an option though, to leave this table position sensor unplugged. If the table position sensor is unplugged, all area traveled is counted. The digital screen of the Hectare Meter is permanently illuminated. The screen is therefore clearly visible in daylight as well as during night time. Quality plastics and rust resistant steel are part of the durable construction of the unit. The adjustable feet make it possible to mount the unit for optimum readability. The feet can be mounted horizontally, vertically, or fixed onto the ceiling of the cab for ideal placement. Except for determining hectares, the Hectare Meter also gives the speed in kilometers per hour. Tenths of km/h is also displayed. This is valuable when harvesting at a precise speed. Kilometers traveled are also displayed. The Hectare count is stored in memory. IF the power is cut off during operation, the most recent data is kept in memory. The meter is calibrated by entering the effective width of the implement. Furthermore, a known distance of 100 meters is traveled, entering the start and end points by pushing a button. In so doing, the unit learns the amount of axle rotations per 100 meters. From here on it will accurately compute and display the area as it progresses |
